After you "rescue" Mr. Fugi in Pokémon Tower and he brings you to
his Pokémon House, he says your Pokédex quest may fail without love for
your Pokémon and he gives you a Pokéflute. What does a Pokéflute have
to do with love for your Pokémon?
What is Oak's criteria for deciding when is and isn't an appropriate time for you to use dig? Apparently, he disapproves of you using it in the middle of an empty field... yet it's PERFECTLY fine for you to use it from the TOP FLOOR of Silph! -_-;;
If you go into a Pokémart and talk to the cashier,
he says: Hi, can I help you. After you buy something he says "Thank
you". Okay, fine, but how come he says that if you press cancel and
decide not to buy anything?
If Professer Oak was such a "serious Pokémon trainer" in his
youth, what happened to the rest of his
Pokémon? Just because he's old dosn't mean he had to give them away or
whatever.
If you try to avoid fighting a trainer in the game, but they see
you and that exclamation point appears over there head and they
walkover to you, that means THEY challenged you right? Well, how come
some
of them get mad at you for beating them if its their fault for
challenging you in the first place?
How come the trainers say lame things, like, "I like shorts" or
"I've got a girlfriend"? WHO CARES!?
When you're trying to catch them, how can Pokemon ESCAPE THE POKEBALLS and STILL BE ASLEEP AFTER THEY COME OUT?!
Wot I'd really like to know is, in the game, and you use any kind of
PokéBall, and miss, the PokéBall is gone forever. Whereas in the anime, and
you miss it just comes straight back at you and gives you a large dent in the
face.... -.-;
How does a little Pidgey or Speaow learn to carry his trainer around the world?
Why is it there are people with Gameboys who trade you with a trading link in the GAME??? In the game, you ARE supposed to be really going 'round the world, all that, right? Geez..
Why is it that no matter where you are,
whether it be in land or water, you can throw out any pokémon to fight
with. For example, how the heck could Ryhorn fight in water. Or how
could goldeen fight on land. And how could a Magikarp splash out of
water? And one more thing, how can you fight using the pokémon you are
surfing on at the moment. If you used him to fight, you'd fall in the
water.
Why do the trainers in the game give their Pokemon such stupid names? It's annoying, because you can't change them. I mean, Dux is tolerable. Terry is tolerable (except Terry's a boy's name, it should be Terri for a Nidorina). Then you get things like a Tangela called Crinkles and an Electrode called Doris. DORIS?!
And, I'd assume that if the person nicknamed the Pokemon they traded, they'd certainly nickname Pokemon they chose to keep. How could you keep track of dozens of Pokemon if they all had names you'd thought up? You could log into the computer and search for half an hour trying to remember what nickname you gave your Kingler. ^_^;;
When u Trade the Poliwhirl for Jynx, and u talk to the other person, he says
that Poliwhirl evolved..How can Poliwhirl evolve without a stone and the
person didn't use one???
Speaking of which, when you trade your Raichu for an Electrode and talk to the man after, he says "The RAICHU you traded to me went and evolved!" Methinks there's some sort of glitch here, or else this is how the Pikablu-in-red/blue-version rumour got started. *grins*
There are 4 trainers from Pallet Town, right? Then how come the only houses
I see in Pallet Town are my house, Gary and his sister's house, and Prof.
Oak's place?
Why is it that even after you beat Gary at Indigo Plateau and you go back
there, HE's still the champion?
What the heck does a plant use to CUT?
Why are there houses that don't
have doors!? How are the people that live there supposed to get inside!?
Where are Misty's other three sisters in Cerulean Gym? Aren't they gym
leaders too?
Why do almost all the houses in the game look similar to one another?
How come it's always daytime and you never have to rest?
In the Pokémon game, Gyrados' Dragon Rage sucks, only a measly 40 damage. But
in the Show, it makes it look like it's very strong and powerful. How about
that?
Then when your fighting the elite 4. You only have one pokemon left and as
not to lose money you try to leave and it wont let you. It's as if it wants
you to be broke and you must go ask your parents for money!
How come in Mewtwo Strikes Back Mewtwo can speak Japanese, but in the game
all he says is "Mew!"? And why doesn't he just blow up the laboratory in the
game? Then no one could read the diaries, and no one would know about him
and try to catch him.
Why are there so many trainers in Cinnabar Gym if the gym is locked and the key hidden deep within an abandoned mansion? Are they sitting there for days just waiting for some brilliant individual to find the key and go in, or did they lock themselves in? ^_^;;
How can certain Pokemon do certain attacks? For example, Ekans can learn MIMIC. That's all very well and good, but that means it can mimic such attacks as MEGA KICK and COMET PUNCH. *grins*
How does your Pokemon manage to BITE a Koffing or Weezing? They're made of gas!
After you beat the dead Marowak in Pokemon Tower, its soul is set at ease and it disappears. I want to know why. Why would your beating the crud out of it appease it?
If Lorelei is in a room of ice, wouldn't she be a little cold, particularly given her choice of attire?
If jugglers are juggling four pokéballs, why do some of them have three,
two, or even only one pokémon?
Why aren't there any TM's in the show?
If you catch Articuno in the Seafoam islands, then look through a pair of
binoculars in a look out station, it'll still be there?
Where'd Professor Oak get Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle in the game
if you can't find them anywhere else?
How does your mom heal your pokémon?
How does exeggcute use egg bomb? Doesn't that kill them?
In the game the pokedex info for doduo says it pretty much can't fly but you can still teach it hm fly. why is that???
Isn't kind of weird that in the game there are only 10-20 houses in
each city?
ive been playing pokemon for a while, and i was just wondering if someone could explain this. when you goto the pokemon centre to get your pokemon healed, the girl behind the counter says "We hope to see you again". WHY? the only reason you ever see them is if your pokemon have been hurt. do they like seeing pokemon hurt or
something. i just dont get it
The burgulars in the Cinnabar Gym say that they came to this gym and
became
straight. If they're straight, WHY DO THEY STILL LOOK LIKE BURGULARS WHEN YOU
FIGHT THEM?!?!?!?
After you beat Gary, wouldn't you stay at the Indigo Plateau?
Have the Elite 4 ever heard of SLEEP? They're there 24/7.
Why do Gary and Elite 4 make themselves so powerful sounding? Are they
trying to scare you?
In the game, Gary beats all the gym leaders just before you do. All very well and good, but I'd like to know just how he manages to beat you into Cinnabar Gym! The door's locked and the key is hidden deep inside the burnt out mansion!
Gary is the first person to beat the gym leaders in the game. It says so on the statues in the front of each gym. Ash is the second person. In that case, why is it that when Ash goes into Victory Road, a path that can ONLY be reached after winning all 8 badges, there are so many other people there?
If Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle are the only Pokemon Professor Oak has left from his days of training Pokemon, then why are they only at L5?
You know that Rhydon is a ground and rock type Pokémon. How come in the game you can teach Rhydon Hm03 (Surf) while its weakness is water? Maybe when it uses the HM, he might die, and floats in the surface of the water. There you can surf on it. Better bring some oars.
You face Gary right after he's beaten the Elite Four. In that case, why are HIS Pokemon all at full HP and pp and whatever else, while yours are becoming wasted?
Why don't the laws of Pokemon battling apply to your opponents? Gary's Blastoise used Blizzard about 8 times, but that attack has a pp of 5! I feel very cheated!
If Mew was
discovered before Mewtwo howcome Mew isn't 150 and Mewtwo 151?
When you are in a trainer battle while using surf, you can make your pkmn use dig. But that doesn't make sense, what is your pkmn going to dig into,
water? That's not dig, its more like dive...
What does self destruct have 5 power points if you can only use it once? when you use it, it
makes your pkmn faint. You can't use it again unless you go to a pokecenter and heal your pkmn
and then the power points are back up to 5. Why? why doesn't self destruct just have 1 pp? You
never get to use the other 4 anyway!!
When you win a match with Meowth in the game (and use payday) it says you 'picked up ___ money' but when you're in the middle of the ocean and you win it says the same thing.... How can you 'pick up' money in the ocean? It doesn't float - it's too heavy isn't it?
At one point in the game, Gary comes up to you and boasts "I already caught 40 kinds, pal! " Then he goes ahead and battles you using four Pokémon. Where did the other 36 go? You can use 6 Pokemon at a time you know, mate!
In the game, when you go fishing and catch a water Pokemon, you have to battle/weaken it to capture it in a Pokeball. What I don't understand is how your Pokemon's attack can miss. I mean, the water Pokemon is ON THE END OF A FISHING LINE! It can hardly dodge! How can you possibly miss?
And continuing that thought, in the Safari Zone, how can your Safariballs miss a Pokemon that is right in front of you dangling from your line? And what's more, how can it 'run away' as they sometimes do? This is a confusing idea of reality they've got here... ^_^;;
Why does everyone on the game look the same. Example: all the BugCatchers look the same, all the Rockets look the same?
Ya ever notice that in the game, the skull on koffing's stomach is on its head? But then, when it evolves, its skull goes back down to it's stomach, like in the
show, it couldn't be because of evoloution because a weezing is just two koffings merged together.
Okay how come when you're in the mansion you see burgalars who say they are lost, but there is a set of stairs right next to them. Why don't they just take the stairs out of the room?
When your Pokemon is confused, it can injure itself when it tries to attack. Well, that's all very well and good for an attack like, say, flamethrower, but HOW can a Pokemon manage to hurt itself while SINGING?!
In the game, why does it say in those diaries in Cinnabar Island that they discovered a new Pokemon, called it Mew, and it had a child called Mewtwo which was really powerful? Because when you catch Mewtwo, it said it was genetically created, and that's what the anime says too. Boy, whoever kept that diary in Cinnabar must have quite an imagination. ^_^.
In the game, how can you just walk into people's houses and they don't even care?
In the game, Sea Foam Island fits my image of a cold, icy place. After all, Pokemon like Seel and Articuno live there, so it makes sense. Keeping that in mind, how is it that there are so many swimmers around Sea Foam Island? Wouldn't they be a little cold in the icy water? ^_^.
